Enstrom's story began in 1919 when Chester K. "Chet" Enstrom started working at Barthel's Confectionary in Colorado Springs. By day, he worked in their ice cream factory, and by night, he honed his candy-making skills at a nearby candy factory.

In 1929, Chet and his wife Vernie relocated to Grand Junction, where they partnered with Harry Jones to open the Jones-Enstrom Ice Cream Company. While ice cream was their primary focus, they couldn't resist adding a touch of extra sweetness to their offerings. Initially, they planned to offer almond toffee as a topping for their ice cream, but Chet soon decided to share this delightful treat with his friends as gifts.

After 30 years of crafting ice cream, Chet shifted his focus to toffee and opened Enstrom Candies in 1960. As the decades passed and the company transitioned through generations, one thing remained constant: "Every batch of traditional almond toffee is still made by hand with only the finest, freshest ingredients."

The dedication to rich almond toffee has since expanded to include toffee popcorn, decadent truffles, and delicious gourmet chocolates.
